Dialect throughout the USA How do you know it's right?

Ladies - does any one have a favorite URL or place they go to retrieve the correct saying/word to depict various areas of the USA???  Want to share them here???  Thank you

I wish I had thought to note those sites that popped up on Facebook awhile back. I haven't written outside my own area yet, so didn't really think about dialects and regional differences (like soda vs. pop), but it's fascinating to see how other parts of the country refer to the same items. Never mind internationally. I just finished a novel set in Ireland and kept tripping over words like kip (either food or sleep; not sure which), gaff (home), and yoke (an object, I gathered).
